Directed by Adam Powell, produced by Nina Dluhy-Miller and written by Charlotte Aitchison (Charli XCX), the “Doing It” music video premiered on youtube and Buzzfeed yesterday and marks another success for the pop princess. Charli and Rita Ora play Thelma and Louise type characters who are on the run. Filmed in deserts outside of LA, the music video shows the the partners-in-crime making their escape in a hot pink monster truck that would make Barbie jealous.

Charli had nothing but nice things to say about Rita. She said “Rita is just someone who I get. She has so much to give as an artist and a person, she knows how to be a real and have a wild time. ‘Doing It’ was something I played to her ages ago and she loved it, so I thought I should definitely get her on it. We shot the video in the middle of the Californian desert – it was amazing. I wanted it to be like this badass Barbie Thelma and Louise-esque video, so we robbed a store with toy guns, rode a bucking bronco and nearly crashed a pink pick-up truck through the desert. Angels, I can’t wait for you to see this video and finally hear Sucker in full.”

Rita Ora added, “I had a blast making this video with Charli, I think you’ll be able to tell how much fun it was when you see it!” The track itself was written in 2014 when Charli was camping out at Trevor Horne’s crib in Bel Air with friends making music. Produced by Ariel Rechtschaid and Mr. Rogers, “Doing It” is sure to add on to the many accolades Charli’s received. She received two grammy nominations for co-writing and featuring on Iggy Azalea’s popular hit “Fancy,” nominated for Best Pop Duo or Group and Best Song of the Year. Check out the video below:
