NBA All Star weekend is just two weeks away, and the hype for the weekend’s festivities are beginning to blossom. With the new re-vamped rules of the “Team USA vs World Rising Stars Challenge” bringing excitement back to the event, the league decided to select some young guns to have the fans in awe in Association’s most prized competition for any NBA player. The participants for this year’s NBA Slam Dunk contest have been announced, and has the potential to show out last year’s contest. The four contestants who got the thumbs up to part take in this year’s dunk contest are: Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo, Minnesota Timberwolves rookie guard Zach LeVine, and the host team forward from the Brooklyn Nets Mason Plumlee.

In case you’re wondering if the league will be using the new dunk contest format that helped John Wall take home Dunker Of The Night in last year’s contest, while confusing many fans, good news is they are going back to their old format that they’ve used the previous years. As exciting news as it is to every true dunk contest fan, here is a sneak peek of why these young standouts have gotten the nod to part take in this legendary event. You will not be disappointed at all, as each player can jump out the gym and will put on an outstanding dunking display 2 weeks from now at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
