Now famous feline has 8 lives left after miraculous self-rescue
The above photograph either spells terror or hope for you as you read this. It certainly represents both for Bart, pictured above, who got hit by a truck and was thought to be dead by his owner. Bart’s owner buried him, which is what any loving cat owner would do upon learning their pet is dead.
Bart…wasn’t…dead.
According to the Tampa Bay Humane Society, Bart managed to dig himself out of the grave he’d been put in.
He had dug himself out of the grave and slowly made his way back home, albeit in weak, dehydrated and in need of medical attention.
Wow. Bart will be inserted with a feeding tube, and undergo procedures to have his jaw wired and his badly injured left eye removed.
Talk about courage.
