UPDATE:

After making a very controversial statement about the correlation between consuming alcohol and rape–which you can read below and watch above–Stacey Dash has apologized for the statements she made on the Fox News show, Outnumbered. Her statement goes as follows:

After a failed attempt at humor about “good girls” and “naughty girls,” during my recent appearance on Outnumbered, I transitioned to the very serious issue of men blaming alcohol for their vile behavior. LET ME BE CLEAR: I am a victim of physical and sexual abuse. My point was that there IS NO EXC– USE for a man taking advantage of women under any circumstances. I believe that these universities focusing on alcohol consumption as a means to stop evil behavior takes the focus off the real issue of the objectification of women and how that can be prevented. I apologize to anyone who believed I was blaming the victims of these horrible acts.

Still, it’s pretty moronic to apologize for indirectly blaming rape on rape victims by saying ‘it was just a joke.’

January 30th, 2015: Please, Ms. Dash. Just stop talking

Stacey Dash took to Fox News earlier today for a discussions segment on Outnumbered, where they talked about the UVA rape scandal started by a controversial feature in Rolling Stone magazine. Once Stacey had the floor, she proceeded to place her entire foot in her mouth, and it wasn’t pretty. She began by saying the good girls stay home for  the most part, but the bad girls. Oh, the bad girls have it coming, don’t they Stacey?

The other bad girls–bad women–are the ones who like to be naughty, might go out and play and get hurt and then, you know…But the other thing about this is that it then blames the alcohol instead of the person who over-drinks. So it’s like, the same thing with guns. Guns don’t kill people; people kill people. Alcohol doesn’t get you drunk; you get yourself drunk.

Judging by that excerpt, it’s not far-fetched to imagine that had she been allowed to continue, her conclusive statement would have pretty much been As A Woman, If You Over-Drink And Get Raped, It’s Your Fault. Then again, we really didn’t need her to continue to know that’s where she was headed.

This is just another example of what happens when you give a misinformed individual a platform to say whatever he or she wants. Watch the cringeworthy video clip above.
