Tom is such a generous passer on….and off the field
Just days after tying Joe Montana with the most Super Bowl MVP selections, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has decided to make a generous contribution to the teammate who clinched another Super Bowl championship for the New England Patriots.
Brady’s MVP performance consisted of completing 37 out of 50 pass attempts for 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. It’s safe to say New England’s favorite quarterback is willing and ready to complete another pass off the field, this time to rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler. The former Popeye’s fast food employee turned Super Bowl XLIX hero has had the media gone into a huge frenzy after his championship clinching interception he caused at the goal line during the Seattle Seahawks final attempt to win the game late in the 4th quarter.
“Terrific Tom” felt that it didn’t come as a surprise that Butler was able to make such a clutch play. He continued by saying:
A guy like Malcolm who makes that type of instinctive, quick play, that’s one of his strong suits. I don’t think it surprised any of us players, because that’s really what his skill set is. A lot of people didn’t get to see that over the course of the season.
When asked whether he will give the 2015 Chevy Colorado truck to Malcolm, Brady responded by saying he’ll try to work something out. He went along by adding that he would love to do that and that he is going to figure out how to make it work.
With millions of dollars in his bank account from endorsement deals and lucrative contracts, it seems that Brady is taking the humble route on passing along his blessings. With 4 Super Bowl rings under his legendary resume, 3 of them being named the “big game’s” MVP, married to a gorgeous model in Gisele Bundchen, it’s safe to say Brady has way too enough to the point where it is only right he rewards the individual that helped add another argument as his legacy is up for debate as the greatest quarterback of all time. It’s always refreshing seeing a leader reward teammates of their hard work when it’s barely being recognized. Let’s give another MVP salute to Tom for the world class captain gesture at hand.
