By now you should’ve definitely heard Drake’s song “0-100/The Catch Up.” In that song, he mentioned that he’s “been Steph Curry with the shot/ Been cookin’ with the sauce, chef, curry with the pot, boy.”
Well, it’s only right to showcase when Steph Curry is Steph Curry with the shot. Last night (2.4) Curry killed the Mavericks with a total of 51 points. 10 of 16 of his shots from were from beyond the arc, shooting 16 of 26 overall.
“Sometimes Steph plays his best when we’re down big and he just senses that he has to put the Superman cape on,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said, according to NBA.Com. “And he’s so good at it. He loves the freedom of being down and saying, ‘All right. I’m going to let it fly and bring us back.’ And that’s what he did.”
Even Mavs coach Rick Carlisle had to applaud Curry’s performance saying, “He had one of those extra-special nights. I’ve never seen anybody in this league hit shots like that from that distance.”
