After media speculation and fan backlash, it seems that the stars aligned for Portland’s Damian Lillard, and the young point guard will make his second straight appearance in the 2015 NBA All Star Game this Sunday. Although, this may come as a surprise to most, the young point guard proved it day in and day out averaging 21.6 ppg and 6.3 apg while leading the league in fourth quarter points with a total of 311.

Filling in for the injured Blake Griffin who was sidelined with an elbow injury and out indefinitely, the second year All-Star will be joining his Trailblazer and Western Conference teammate Lamarcus Aldridge. Both Lamarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard mark the first Blazers duo since 1977 and 78′ to appear in back to back All-Star Games since former Trailblazers Maurice Lucas and Bill Walton.
