Tcohh: Over the past decades the only thing that has remained consistent in the arts and entertainment industry is the business aspect. The mission of www.TheCollegeOfHipHop.Org is to educate our subscribers on the business aspect of arts and entertainment to aspiring talent and CEOs. The knowledge gained from becoming a paid subscriber will empower the CEOs and talent to understand and value the arts and entertainment industry more.

TheSource.com: How important is music business education nowadays?

Tcohh: It’s the most important part of the music business. No one who ever had music education ever had a sad story about being played or messed over. I’d say it’s more business education on the music industry rather than just music education.

TheSource.com: What are some of the subjects covered at the College of Hip Hop?

Tcohh: We cover ownership and that’s a wide variety of subjects from copyrights, articles of incorporation, PROs to financing and social media. We like to keep a wide range because there is no such thing as knowing everything about the business.

TheSource.com: Is this a credited or non-accredited organization and is it an online or offline course study?

Tcohh: Our program in non-accredited, the knowledge that will be gained will stick with you your whole life and you don’t need accreditation for that.

TheSource.com: What sets The College of Hip Hop apart from other similar organizations?

Tcohh: There are no similar organizations. The College Of Hip Hop is one of a kind. We created this market and no one has come along yet. We offer the paid subscriber the opportunity to educate herself at his or her own pace.

TheSource.com: Take us through the registration process.

Tcohh: To register you simply go online to http://thecollegeofhiphop.org/registration/ and click the PayPal button. Fill in your information then you will receive e-mail from the company with your login information.

TheSource.com: What advice do you have for future music moguls?

Tcohh: My advice is don’t just be a “music mogul”. With us, we are more than music. The College of Hip Hop is just a portion of what we do. We created www.thecollegeofhiphop.org, which has never been done. Then we also revolutionized the way people will release movies. We released Chewy, a short comedy which can be purchased via http://haveyouseenchewy.com/watch-chewy/ and that’s the first movie ever released directly to consumer. When you pay the $5 fee, you can watch the movie on your phones, tablets, or smart TVs right then.

We cut out all the middlemen and maintained true independence. We don’t need anyone’s ok to move and shake, or approve our content. We really spend our own hard earned money, so we make our own decisions.

TheSource.com: Without giving away any secrets, what plans are in the future for the College of Hip Hop?

Tcohh: We plan on adding to the content in a major way, which will surprise people on the steps we take to do so. Also we plan on doing pop up shops at high schools and colleges around the country to reach the kids and young adults who want to be in this business.

TheSource.com: Any final words for our readers?

Tcohh: Thanks for the opportunity and platform to get the word out about our company. Also don’t forget to visit www.thecollegeofhiphop.org and become a paid subscriber and also to visit http://haveyouseenchewy.com/watch-chewy/ and purchase the film. I want for my brothers what I want for myself, and look to the east.
