Taylor Swift just wants to be down, Jay
At one point in time, say, just under 6 years ago, Taylor Swift wouldn’t be caught dead standing in a public vicinity having a light-hearted conversation with Kanye West or Jay Z. Well, this past Sunday at the 57th Grammy Awards, that’s exactly where she found herself, and she fared much better than say, Beck, wouldn’t you say?
For what it’s worth, Kanye and Jay Z shared an immaculate laugh–probably at Swift’s expense, unbeknownst to Swift–and before they took their respective seats in the audio-less footage above, Swift can be seen mouthing something that appeared to be pretty urgent to Jay Z. As our good friends at Gawker pointed out, she just wants to grab some waffles with the Roc Nation headmaster.
“I really want to go to brunch,” says Swift. “I really want to go brunch!”
Jay Z smiles at her and nods politely.
“Brunch!” barks Taylor Swift. “Brunch!”
Jay Z continues smiling and nodding.
At least she’s keeping it 100. We’ll see how Beyonce feels about Hov day-drinking with the girl who beat her out for Album of the Year (Fearless > I Am…Sasha Fierce) in 2010.
