A lawsuit has been filed in Georgia on behalf of a woman, Kenya Harris, who claims that while she was visiting a police station to visit her son, who was a minor, she was brutalized by an Officer Jenkins who slammed her to the ground and arrested her, eventually causing the miscarriage of her unborn child.

According to the lawsuit, after being in the station for several hours, Ms. Harris asked to leave because she had to get back to her other children. Jenkins claimed that he didn’t like the manner in which Harris was making her requests, and that he would put her head on the floor if she didn’t calm down. Shortly after, Jenkins followed through on his threat, and Ms. Harris found herself behind bars for reasons unknown to her.

Ms. Harris is seeking $50,000 in damages–which seems wholly underwhelming–and was treated for several injuries, including a knee contusion, the day after the alleged incident.
