One half of The Clipse, Pusha T is excited for the East vs. West showdown at the mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden. But don’t expect him to be rooting for the Western Conference team. “I’m going with the East,” Pusha T told The Source following Kanye West’s RocCityClassic Concert on Thursday.  “I’m from the East.”

Pusha is a huge hoops fan. The Clipse even appeared on the 2004 NBA Live soundtrack.

Amid all of the great talent playing on the Eastern Conference squad like the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony and the Atlanta Hawks’ Kyle Korver, the only name that rings bells like Sunday’s at 12 o’clock to Pusha T was the Washington Wizards’ John Wall.

A starter on the Eastern Conference squad, Wall turned heads last season averaging 19.3 points and 8.8 assists in 82 games for the Wizards. He’s picked up where he left off last season on head coach Randy Wittmans team who are currently 33-21 and in fourth place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

Moreover, Pusha T is simply impressed with Wall’s overall progress and play and expects him to play well in tonight’s game. “The MVP will be John Wall,” said Pusha T.

“John Wall is the man!”

With the second half of the NBA season en route after tonight’s All Star Game, not surprisingly Pusha likes the Wizards’ chances in the NBA Finals. “I’ve got the Wizards and Golden State,” he said.
