Executively-produced by Nasir “Nas” Jones and Adam Sjöberg, “Shake The Dust” follows breakdance crews from some of the most impoverished neighborhoods. The documentary takes place in Colombia, Yemen, Uganda and Cambodia. The documentary includes stories and accounts from DJs and b-boys and depicts how breakdancing is being utilized for positive social change. Originating in the Bronx, breakdancing has taken the world by storm and “Shake The Dust” highlights how breakdancing has united people in slums and ghettos worldwide as a means of self-expression. The soundtrack will feature original tracks by Nas as well as international hip-hop tracks.

Bond 360’s Marc Schiller said, the film’s “diverse depictions of breakdancing around the globe encourages the audience to share the exuberant positivity of the many cultures featured in the film who have embraced this traditionally American art form and made it their own.” Adam Sjöberg said, “My editors would send me to all of the remotes locations around the world to capture the bloodshed and grief. In my travels I experienced so much more — most importantly, the new generations in third world countries. These young adults have an inherent understanding that they are responsible for the future of their communities and are expressing their attitudes through dance.” The documentary is scheduled for limited theatrical release May 2015.
