Even when we think that Jay-Z’s takeover is never ending, not everyone is so interested

In January, Jay-Z made headlines after he put a big bid of $56 million on the European streaming service Aspiro. As the rival streaming service to Spotify, they believed that with an American star such as Jay on board, it would be seen as basically global domination.

Unfortunately Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri is reporting that the company’s 10-percent minority shareholders are punting Shawn Carter’s bid all the way to the rafters. This interestingly comes soon after Aspiro’s board of directors recommended the deal with Jay-Z be approved without question. It is being said that the shareholders were dissatisfied with the terms of the deal and allowing the powers that be to regroup and get another deal that’s more accommodating.
However, Jay-Z & his subsidiary of S. Carter Enterprises, Project Pather, still have a chance until March 11 to win the bid for the streaming service.
