As he always does, Jay Electronica appears seemingly out of nowhere with a banger

We’ve been waiting for Jay Electronica‘s debut album, Act II: Patents Of Nobility (The Turn) since he first signed to Jay Z‘s Roc Nation label back in 2010 following the release of a string of timeless loosies, including the almost mythical, Just Blaze-produced “Exhibit C.” Since then, the two Jays have collaborated twice–“Shiny Suit Theory,” “We Made It (RMX)”–and they’ve yet to disappoint.

“Road To Perdition” is billed as Jay Electronica featuring Jay Z, but Jay appears here only courtesy of a sampling of his “Success” record, off American Gangster. However, by the time Jay Electricity gets finished with his verses, you won’t miss Hov much at all.

It’s the same story. Money, glory, fame. Bring my homies with me. Blah blah blah. It’s a swagger track. Hooray.
