The hits keep coming for Jim Boheim and his beloved Cuse Men’s Basketball program. After receiving sanctions from the NCAA which resulted in being banned from this year’s upcoming NCAA tournament, the NCAA is not done with them just yet.  The NCAA Committee has announced that they will punish the university because of it’s lack in supervising it’s athletic department, more importantly it’s men’s basketball program. In fact, the NCAA has suspended Jim Boeheim from the team’s first nine ACC games next season and the team will lose three scholarships per year through 2018-2019 . Ouch

This could potentially be a devastating blow for the Orange especially considering the great recruits they have in the upcoming class. These sanctions come from infractions and continued violations that occurred over the past 10 years in the men’s program. Not to mention, all athletic department staff will be on probation for the next five years. This whole ordeal affects the program but sadly, will affect Jim’s win total on the all-time scoring list and will push him even further behind friend and coaching great Mike Krzyzewki. Hopefully, Jim can finish off his career in the Dome despite the tough road ahead.
