Nike To Set Release Air Flight Huarache “Lakers”

Just in time for March Madness, Nike is set to release the classic Air Flight Huarache “Lakers” color way. Tinker Hatfield originally designed the Flight Huarache in 1991 as an extension of the Air Huarache running shoe. In the early 90’s the Air Flight Huarache’s began to have a cult following due to them being donned by the popular Michigan Fab Five college basketball team.

However, in 2003 when newly signed Nike endorsed athlete Kobe Bryant began wearing the Air Flight Huarache’s before having his own signature sneaker designed he created a demand for them once again. This eventually led to Nike designer Eric Avar modernizing the Air Flight Huarache’s, thus creating the Zoom Huarache 2K4. Years later, the Air Flight Huarache is in the midst of a resurgence kicking off with a Los Angeles Laker color way. As of now no details have been giving regarding a release date, but stay tuned to find out any updates on these kicks.
