An alumnus of Howard University, this digital strategist has been very successful in the music industry for the past few years. Not in the way you might expect though. Working as a digital strategist for The BluePrint Group, and his own firm, IV The Love, Lance had worked on projects for Kanye West, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and more.

With a Twitter following of almost half a million, Lance found a way to make his passion for music and understanding for technology into a career. He came up with a host of techniques, and The Blueprint Group became very interested in how he was going about it.

Being one of the most successful people in the music industry isn’t enough for Lance. Right now he’s working very hard towards an app he created called Playola. This will connect fans to artists they might know for building bigger fan bases. According to Lance, only 380 out of the 40 million artists in America get regular airplay on the radio. And from that, 86% were artists that performed very well in the last year. These stats are what drove Lance to create Playola.

Playola will launch sometime this year. It’s worth keeping an eye out for just because Lance Coleman is at the forefront of the project.
