Season 5 of Game of Thrones is kicking off with a red carpet premiere at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco.
Fans can watch the live stream of the event on Facebook on March 23, 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m. EST using this link. This will be the second year in a row that HBO gives Game of Thrones fans the opportunity to access red carpet action. Fans can also participate in real-time by submitting questions via Facebook and Instagram that might be answered on the carpet from 6-7 p.m. PST. Veronica Belmont and Mara Raphael from The Daily Share will be hosting the live event. Cast members attending the event include Alfie Allen, Ian Beattie, Dean-Charles Chapman, Gwendoline Christie, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Liam Cunningham, Peter Dinklage, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jerome Flynn, Aidan Gillen, Conleth Hill, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Michiel Huisman, Michael McElhatton, Hannah Murray, Iwan Rheon, Sophie Turner, Carice van Houten, Maisie Williams, and more. 100 lucky fans from the Bay Area will get to participate in the red carpet “Fanzone,” attend the screening and receive a VIP gift bag with the Catch the Throne: The Mix Tape Volume 2. Immediately after the red carpet, the Game of Thrones Facebook page will preview all new behind-the-scenes video footage from season 5, which premieres Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m.
