This legendary artist from Warner Bros. Records has released an all new track.
Nile Rodgers stopped by American Idol a few nights ago, where he previewed a 30 second sneak peak of CHIC’s new “I’ll Be There” video. CHIC, featuring Nile Rodgers, released the official music video for “I’ll Be There” via Facebook. Rodgers exclusively chose Facebook stating that it was a much more personal platform than other social media. Rodgers said, “Since I started my blog after the cancer diagnosis, I’ve felt that Facebook users feel like friends coming over to your house for a visit [and] in the world of social media Facebook feels more like family and the story behind CHIC’s record is deeply personal.”
This throwback music video is a salute to the 70’s and all its disco glory. Directed by fashion photographer duo Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the “I’ll Be There” video features supermodel Karlie Kloss. Nile Rodgers’s new track with the Martinex Brothers is from his upcoming It’s About Time album, which will be released this summer. In addition to the video, Rodgers and CHIC did a livestream of their London performance which was broadcast March 20 via Yahoo & Live Nation.
