As of late, drama has sailed T.I.‘s way after his involvement in the controversial “Blurred Lines” track. The Marvin Gaye family was awarded over $7 million after Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams were found guilty of infringement of Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up” T.I. however, was not and has been trying to avoid all confrontation about it. Recently T.I. spoke to HipHopSince1987 about his new album ‘Traps Open’, which he says will be a part of his trilogy that he started with after ‘Paperwork’.

“So the first installment, the motion picture, was supposed to be cinematic, it was supposed to be nostalgic,” Tip told HHS1987. “This next one is going to be unapologetically gangsta. It’s trap music.”

It’s good to see T.I. back in a positive light but I do want to see if he can sustain his image in the public after Marvin Gaye’s family.
