R&B singer Brandy is taking her talents to Broadway.
Grammy Award winner Brand Norwood, better known as Brandy, is making her Broadway Debut Tuesday, April 28 in the illustrious record-breaking musical “Chicago” as Roxie Hart. With 19 years on Broadway, “Chicago” is one of Broadway’s most well-known and celebrated musicals. Brandy is scheduled to play Roxie Hart for 8 weeks at the Ambassador Theatre until Sunday, June 21.
Selling over 40 million albums worldwide, having her own sitcom and being Disney’s first official black princess have all led up to Brandy’s Broadway debut as a talented actress and singer. “Chicago” centers around Roxie Hart, a 1920’s housewife and nightclub dancer, who murders her side lover after he says he’ll walk out on her. Roxie Hart tries to outsmart the public by hiring Velma Kelly, Chicago’s smoothest criminal lawyer, to spin the crime in her favor. Tickets are available here.
