Pasco County Sheriff states the boy killed one brother, wounded another, after argument over food
In Pasco County, Florida Wednesday night shortly after 6pm, a 13 year old boy killed his 6 year-old brother, and wounded his 16 year-old brother inside the family’s mobile home with a handgun, before turning the weapon on himself. The shooting happened in a suburban area of Pasco County, about an hour north of Tampa.
County Sheriff Chris Nocco made a statement saying that the 16 year old was the one who reached out to authorities. Reportedly, the shooting was the result of an argument over food.
The 16 year-old’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but the situation is still under investigation. Details about the family, and also how the child was able to get to the weapon, have not been released at this time.
