Netflix is in production on two Spanish-language shows.
Variety reports, the company hopes to boost subscribers in Latin America with these series. Narcos, is a drug crime thriller which will be set in Colombia. Brazilian director Jose Padilha will be working on the project. The second series is a soccer satire Club de Cuervos. This is from the producers of Mexican blockbuster Nosotros los Nobles. Netflix has been cultivating relationships in Brazil, by producing shows with local comedians. Some examples include Danilo Gentili’s Politicamente Incorreto, Marco Zenni’s So Ria! and Fabio Lins Atira Sarro.
