The Rawyals are the brainchild of music mogul Kedar Massenburg, the man behind D’Angelo, India Arie, and Erykah Badu.  “If there is one thing that I have mastered, it is the ability spot talent,” Massenburg says.

The sassy trio teamed up with the trap king, Fetty Wap, for their debut single, “King Me,” a sultry and sexy hip pop record.

The three girls, Ariel Nicholson, Bel Cabrera, and Asia Shabazz,  came of age when 90’s R&B was at its peak, and you can hear their early influences in their music.  They’re currently readying up their EP, In the Raw, slated for a end of June release date.  Besides Fetty Wap, there will be features from Remy Ma, Troy Ave, and Wale.

The group also got a co-sign from rapper 50 Cent, who said,  “There is a clear lane in music being left wide open. These ladies are prepared to fill it. Call it, crazy, sexy, cool or destiny but they are the new wave.”
