The last time Nas dropped an album, it was 2012. His very public divorce from his wife of 5 years, Kelis, was discussed ad-nauseum, and their back-and-forths regarding Kelis’ share of Nas fortune became a hot topic of discussion on social media. His 2012 LP, Life Is Good, addressed all that and more, and was regarded as a very strong comeback album–his best in years.

Over the weekend at a show, Nas announced that 2015 will finally be the year he drops his 12th, yet-to-be-titled LP. For years, Nas has teased the project, including a long, long-awaited collaboration with Jay Z, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, allegedly titled “Sinatra in the Sands,” which was cut during Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail sessions.
