Marissa Holcomb, a manager at a Popeye’s Restaurant in Texas, claimed she was fired after failing to pay back money that was stolen from the establishment at gunpoint. Holcomb said that her manager told her to pay up or pack up. The franchise owner of the restaurant claimed that she violated restaurant policy by keeping too much cash in the register. Marissa stated that it was a very busy day at the restaurant, and that she had moved the money as fast as she could.

The following day, after the news story went viral, owner of the restaurant Z and H Foods issued an apology and offered the fired employee her job back along with $2,000 in back pay. The pregnant mother of three says she isn’t sure if she’s willing to go back after she was completely humiliated for merely doing her job; can you blame her?
