An eye witness said they saw a man fitting 27 year old Jones’ description, run a red light, smash into another vehicle, hop out of his car and leave the scene on foot.  The official police report states that the man returned to the vehicle to grab a “large handful of cash” before he ran off for the second time.

This was Jones’ third violation since he has been fighting in the octagon,  In May of 2012, Jones was driving in Binghamton, New York when he crashed his Bentley into a telephone pole. Jones was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and plead guilty to a misdemeanor DWI charge.

Most recently this past December, Jones tested positive with traces of cocaine showing up, while he was training for his fight with Daniel Cormier.
