Madonna gives her side of the Drake kiss, and it isn’t pretty
Last month, Drake headlined Coachella, and his weekend 1 guest was the one and only Madonna, who performed two of her biggest records before planting one long, awkward, “was this planned?” smooch right on the mouth of a perceptibly taken aback Drake. It was talked about internationally non-stop for the entire week.
Since then, things have cooled down out west, and Drake finished up the rest of weekend 1, and returned for weekend 2 without much incident (depends on how you feel about Nicki Minaj‘s word-less “Truffle Butter” appearance on the second Saturday). However, Madonna has yet to give her side of the story. Until now.
Though this video speaks little to what the actual game plan for the night in question was, Madonna throws enough shade Drake’s way in the above clip to keep the entire YOLO Estate out of the sun. Not only does she liken kissing Drake to “kissing a girl” with a deft Katy Perry reference, she alludes to the fact that not only was the kiss planned, but Drake begged the renowned pop star to go through with it.
If that is how it happened, Drizzy’s got some explaining to do for sure. The shots first get fired at the 2:10 mark, and Madonna reloads at around 7:58.
