Iron Mike’s dislike of Money Mayweather stems back to 2001….what could the champ have done to piss off Brownsville’s bruiser?

Animosity was at a all time high for Floyd Mayweather during his preparation to defeat Manny Pacquaio in the biggest fight of the century. As fans began to choose sides on who they wanted to win, many people expressed a strong sense of dislike of the type of character he presented to the world. A lot of fans don’t take kindly to the champ because they believe Floyd is too arrogant and flashy. Theres one boxing pro who particularly has major beef with the champ and was recently very outspoken regarding the reason. The person I’m referring to is the champ “Iron” Mike Tyson.

Back in 2001, Mike claims that Floyd instructed a female to file a police report stating Tyson had kidnapped and raped her in his home. Tyson gave a brief synopsis of what occurred the night he received news about the police report in his autobiography book entitled Undisputed Truth. The former heavyweight champ went on to say,

They began to tear my house apart — room by room, box by box, paper by paper.”

Even though this occurred over a decade ago, Tyson still had some strong words to say about Floyd, labeling the undisputed champion as a “small and delusional” man.  He continued the attack on Floyd by giving his two cents about Mayweather’s claim to believe he is the greatest of all time…

Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of greatness with Ali he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself. He can’t take his kids to school by himself, and he’s talking about he’s great? Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people, greatness is being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids alone to school by himself. He’s a little, scared man. He’s a very small, scared man. The guy is going around saying he is better than (Muhammad) Ali. I don’t want to hear that (expletive).”

As Mayweather lives to see another day as a well paid, undefeated champ, it is looking like he has one more war to finish before he can relax freely. The opinionated Mike Tyson is never shy to let the truth be told and with the outer ring history of Floyd that involves females, it’s safe to say the champ should do some clearing up as quickly as possible. No one’s reputation should be tarnished due to some poor decisions being made. Hopefully, this minor spill is just the short abrupt end to what may considered as the clash of ego’s as both of these great fighters will forever be apart of boxing history as the most controversial, most praised and most dominant champs of all time.
