Last Week Michelle Obama and Ciara visited Detroit for the first-ever citywide College Signing Day.
Facilitated through the Get Schooled program and Detroit College Access Network, the citywide college signing day was a part of Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative. Get Schooled ambassador and Grammy-award winner Ciara also participated in Detroit’s first college signing day. Both Ciara and the first lady gave empowering speeches addressing the significance of higher education. The head football coach at the University of Michigan, Jim Harbaugh, also stopped by and shared his support for Detroits’s first College Signing Day.
