On January 10, 2014, both of the men met up with Porter for a heroin transaction but attempted to flee without paying for the drugs. Porter chased the men, and after a brief scuffle, Wolford shot Porter in the head, killing him instantly.

Hopefully the victims family can find some sort of closure now that the two men have been brought to justice.
