One day after it was announced that a trial date had been set for the six officers who played a role in the death of Freddie Gray, details about his injuries have been leaked. According to the  Baltimore Sun, the medical examiner who performed an autopsy on Gray says that he suffered a ” high energy injury” that was probably caused when the police van he was in slowed down.

The autopsy also revealed that there could be no way Gray’s death could be ruled an accident but rather a homicide because the officers didn’t follow safety procedures. This is a major problem because these details were not suppose to be released to the public. State Attorney Marilyn Mosby  released a statement condemning the leaked autopsy report.

“I want to make it very clear that the state’s attorney’s office did not release the Freddie Gray autopsy report. As I have repeatedly stated, I strongly condemn anyone with access to trial evidence who has leaked information prior to the resolution of this case,”

Attorneys of the six officers released a joint statement saying that they have not received a copy of the autopsy. Mosby is expected to turn in the copies of the autopsy to the defense attorneys by Friday.
