Last night was a big one for the Los Angeles Lakers franchise, who chose to forego the presumed #2 pick, Duke standout Jahlil Okafor, and select Ohio State point guard D’Angelo Russell, who, for the past week, has been touted by seasoned NBA analysts as a future superstar NBA guard. However, it was their 2nd round pick that helped dominate the headlines this morning.

Larry Nance Jr.–son of 3-time NBA All-Star Larry Nance and the 27th pick in last night’s NBA Draft–sent out a tweet in 2012 that could require extra attention from the one player on his new team he’d least like to make an enemy out of: Kobe Bryant.

Wow. Nance, obviously referencing Kobe’s 2003 sexual assault case, which was settled out of court but will forever be implanted in the public’s minds, probably wishes he’d never pressed “tweet” on that one. Granted, the former Univ. of Wyomign forward was 19 at the time of the tweet, so there’s a good chance he, Kobe, and the rest of the basketball world will just chalk this up to youth and immaturity. Still, without a doubt, there will be some light tension between the two when that first meeting occurs, which is likely soon.

Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak had this to say about the social media finding.
