Suicide Squad is about a bunch of super villains who accept a secret government mission that will most likely lead to their deaths. The film stars Common, Will Smith, and Jared Leto just to name a few stars. The roles are so dark that the director David Ayer wanted to ensure his realistic expectations of the characters don’t leave the set, so he hired a therapist.

Adam Beach who is apart of the cast said:

Us actors explore very fine thin lines going to the dark side and he wants to make sure we finish a movie and don’t disappear somewhere and then don’t show up for work.

Beach also said “If your character is tormented, he [Ayer] wants you to torment yourself. He wants the real thing”. Which is why Ayer felt like the therapist was necessary.

I can’t wait to see Will Smith show his dark side in Suicide Squad which hits theaters August 5th.
