On June 26, 2015, internationally renowned, multi-platinum selling hip hop artists Swizz Beatz, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne performed at a free concert for over 100,000 people which was the first time this had ever been done in Haiti!
The concert was put together by Swizz Beatz in collaboration with Haitian music production company, Big O Productions, with the goal of providing hope, peace, positivity and a platform for unity to the Haitian people through art and music.
The six-hour show also featured performances by local Haitian artists and DJs including Barikad Crew, T-Micky and DJ Tonymix. Among the celebrities in attendance were Andre Berto, Bu Thiam and Kate Upton.
“This was a very humbling experience. To see the number of Haitians come out during a time like this was amazing…. The energy was perfect.” stated Swizz Beatz.
