Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift exchanged tweets about the recent VMA nominations.

Nicki ripped MTV up and called them out for being racist after “Anaconda” wasn’t nominated for Best Video of the Year despite the video’s pop cultural influence. Swift took Nicki’s comments personally and told the female emcee:

I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..

Obviously Swift missed Nicki’s point but Katy Perry certainly picked it up:

The irony in Swift’s stance is her recent No. 1 song “Bad Blood” is admittedly about feuding with another female pop star which we presume to be the “Dark Horse” singer Katy Perry.  So it’s no surprise that Perry had lots of shade to throw towards Swift’s way.

Perry’s opinion didn’t stop there:

And if you ask me, the BBHMM video deserves to be nominated even though it dropped on 7/1 at midnight. It was just that good.

Swift hasn’t mad another comment, meanwhile Nicki retweeted a bunch of arguments to back up her point. Sips tea.
