This lawsuit is going to be massive
A tragic story out of China will certainly make a Jingzhou City shopping center the target of an emotional lawsuit. 30-year old Xiang Liujuan was coming up an escalator with her child, a toddler, when the elevator’s landing began to give out, forcing Liujuan to push her son up to safety as her legs sunk into the escalator’s interior.
Shortly after, despite the efforts of two bystanders, Liujuan was pulled into the escalator, and completely disappeared form the view of the surveillance camera. She died shortly after. According to reports, it took authorities 4 hours to remove her body from the apparatus.
The Los Angeles Times says it was a known fact that there were faulty or missing pieces of the escalator, which, if true, absolutely makes the shopping center reliable for these tragic events.
