By now, everyone is familiar with the on going rift between Drake and Meek Mill. After the Philadelphia rapper took to Twitter last week and directly accused Drake of employing a ghostwriter, the rap world has been consumed by this news. Quentin Miller, the artist who Meek alleged to be Drizzy’s secret hitmaker took to his Tumblr page and vehemently denied the rumors. This past weekend, Drake let off some veiled warning shots with his response track “Charged Up.” Meek once again took to his twitter and called the song “baby lotion soft.”

The drama continued as Hot 97’s Funk Flex told listeners he would have a Meek Mill rebuttal, but to the dismay of blood thirsty rap beef fans around the world (this writer included), the Meek response never came to fruition, as Flex and Hot 97 brass stated that Meek told them he would be ready. Things got all the more interesting as Nicki Minaj‘s The Pinkprint tour had their stop in Drake’s home city of Toronto. Meek, who is the opener for his girlfriend on the tour, took to the stage with the words “F*ck You” emblazoned on the screen behind him. A perceived slight at Drizzy.

In the wee hours of the morning, Drake decide to let off some more shots at Meek Mill, this time very direct. Acknowledging in the song that 4 days have passed and no response, lends listeners to believe the track was recorded some time last night. Some of the standout lines include:

“Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers / You getting bodied by a singing ni**a.”

“You love her then you gotta get a world tour / Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? / I know that you gotta be a thug for her / This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.”

“I did another one, I did another one / You still ain’t did shit about the other one / Got the drink in me going back to back.”
