Another unarmed African-American male has been shot and killed by a police officer. This time in Texas.

19-year old Christian Taylor was shot and killed by Arlington rookie cop, Brad Miller, Friday morning after an alleged robbery. According to reports, Arlington police were investigating a reported burglary at a car dealership 1 A.M. Friday morning, and found Taylor in the dealership. Allegedly, Taylor had driven an SUV through the showroom at Classic Buick GMC, and following a scuffle, Miller shot Taylor. Taylor died at the scene.

Taylor was a sophomore at Angelo State University and was expected to report to school Sunday. Friends and family describe Taylor as a fun and loving kid with a bright future, and they do not believe that Taylor tried to burglarize the dealership. Arlington police are investigating the shooting, and say that will try to obtain as much information on the shooting as possible.

This is the second person to die in the hands of police in Texas in the last 30 days. Last month, Sandra Bland was arrested for switching lanes, and was found dead of an alleged suicide in her jail cell three days later.

“Allegedly, Taylor had driven an SUV through the showroom at Classic Buick GMC”

No longer ‘allegedly’, the video of Taylor kicking in the windshield of a car on the lot, then tearing the glass away and getting into the car, then returning to his(?) vehicle, ramming through the locked gate and driving through the showroom doors has been released.
