On Wednesday, August 5th, Capitol Music Group Chairman and CEO Steve Barnett hosted the 3rd Annual Captiol Congress.

Taking place at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, the 3rd annual Capitol Congress allowed CMG’s rising artists to preview upcoming projects to representatives from the entertainment industry. A few of the artists included  Katy Perry, Don Henley, Tori Kelly, Bastille, Disclosure and Troye Sivan with a surpirse performance by Mike Diamond and Adam Horovitz of Beastie Boys. Sponsors who helped facilitate the event included Citi, DTS Inc., and Boulevard Brewery, who provided beverages for the evening. At the event, it was announced that CMG’s music share had skyrocketed to the no. 2 position amongst all industry labels. CMG also shared that three of the top 10 breakout U.S. artists over the last few years are CMG’s very own  Sam Smith, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Bastille.
