A Virginia Lowes Employee got his own taste of racism after being told he couldn’t deliver a package because he is Black. According to Fox 10, Marcus Bradley, was on his way to deliver a package to a customer when he received a phone call from his manager telling him that he needs to return back to the store, because the customer does not want Black people in their home.
While investigating, Fox 1o went to the customer’s home to confirm that they did not want an African American delivery driver. The woman who turned away the employee confirmed the accusations, saying she has a right to allow whom she wants in her home and, “did not feel bad about anything.”
Bradley insists that the incident will not cause him to quit his job, but he feels that Lowes should have put their foot down.
The manager has been fired from Lowes for honoring the racist requests of a customer, and taking Bradley off of his route.
