Future‘s 2015 has been ridiculous. Capitalizing off the momentum he gained in the latter half of 2014, thanks to “Move That Dope” and his critically acclaimed Monster mixtape, Future dropped 2 mixtapes in the first four months of the year–Beast Mode and 56 Nights–and his third solo LP, Dirty Sprite 2, landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 the week of its release.
Apparently, that may not be enough for the Atlanta native. Despite previous rumors of a forthcoming mixtape–Ape Sh*t–executive produced by Mike Will Made It, with whom Future hasn’t worked extensively since Honest, it appears the self-proclaimed “fire marshall” has a sequel on the brain.
An Instagram picture, posted by Beast Mode producer Zaytoven, featured Zay and Future, side-by-side, with the following caption: “Zaytoven vs @future#ds2#beastmode#webackcooking BM2.”
Zaytoven must have noticed the excitement he caused on social media, because he’s since edited “BM2” out of the picture, but it’s too late. A sequel to the January project is in the works, and now everyone knows. Sorry man.
The good thing is, not only does everyone know, but everyone’s excited.
