UPDATE: NBC 12 is reporting that the suspect on the loose is disgruntled former WDBJ employee Bryce Williams.

Early this morning, a cameraman–Adam Ward–and a reporter–Alison Parker–were shot to death during a live broadcast on WDBJ, a Virginia news station. Ward was in the process of recording a live interview being conducted by Parker, when suddenly, several gunshots rang out, and Ward immediately collapsed to the ground. He would later die from his wounds, but not before his camera was briefly trained on his attacker, long enough to capture a fuzzy image of the shooter, which has undoubtedly contributed to authorities’ attempts at capturing the killer, who, as of the writing of this post, is still on the loose.

Unfortunately, the circumstances get worse. Ward’s fiancee was in the control room, and likely saw the entire incident happen live. Soon thereafter, Parker’s boyfriend, another employee of the station, revealed that his and Parker’s kept-under-wraps relationship was blossoming, and they’d just moved in together.

The horrific video of the incident can be viewed here, but please note that it is disturbing footage, and should be watched at your own risk.
