The Akoo showroom in New York City was the hot spot for the 3rd Annual Bloggers Appreciation Mixer curated by Marie Driven of PlayBook Media Group. The highly entertaining event played host to many media outlets from all over New York City. Some of the heavy hitters who were there in attendance were The Shade Room, HipHopSince 1987, Thisis50, The Rapfest, Stuff Fly People Like, Strictly Hip-Hop, Industry Co-sign, Billboard, Mass Appeal and last but not least, The Source Magazine. Vibe Magazine’s own Datwon Thomas and BlogXilla hosted the event and did a great job keeping the crowd entertained as the night progresses. Rappers Maino, Spliff Star and actors from the hit YouTube show “Money & Violence” were able to grace the public with their presence while being able to show the fans nothing but love and appreciation. With drinks provided by Clique Vodka, food catered by Chefyowdie and dope gift bags being passed around by Monster Energy , the public was able to enjoy some amazing performances by two of the most underrated emcees in the game today. Brooklyn’s own Stro f/k/a Astro represented his borough with a energetic, super crowd pleasing performance and Delaware’s own Rell Jerv debuted his newest single “Drunken High”.
