Spanish Harlem’s own, Lex Lavo, toasts to his come-up and continues puttin’ in work in his cinematic new video for “Consignment,” the latest single off his bubbling summer release, The Voice EP.

As anyone who’s heard the EP already will tell you, the rising 25-year-old MC delivers effortless, confident bars over producer High Volume’s trunk-rattler of a beat, and in the video, it all  sets the tone for crisp, beautifully shot visuals handled by A1Vision (aka photographer/videographer Bryan Nunez). Lavo and his crew’s approach makes this feel more like a mini-movie than your standard music video, particularly the nods to his lyrics about everything from getting hooked up with a free sandwich to keeping one eye glued to the police presence in the stone jungle.

Given the way the vivid clip concludes, you get the feeling that there’s more to come from Lex Lavo, who clearly has his own story to tell. Until we get that, though, you can enjoy the “Consignment” video by hitting the play button above,  and circle back to his previous drop, “My Set,” which features Shelby Ellimac on the hook.
