First premiering back in August, DMV native Jay IDK popped onto the scene with his SubTrap project which gracefully bridged the gap between conscious and cool and the debut project has reached 1 million views on SoundCloud. Based on the life of the DC Metropolitan MC, the album paints the picture of his life while cohesively blending both sides of life in the trap game.  Personifying characters such as: Chris, Jon Jon, Matt, King Trappy III and Ed, Jay IDK brings these characters to life and they help take listeners through the twisted surroundings of the trap game.

The project was mixed by Delbert Bowers (who is responsible for working on projects such as Yeezus, Long.Live.A$AP and The Marshall Mathers LP2), Lo-Mein, Tim Webberson and Matt Weiss. The artwork was done by Nicky Chulo of Revolt TV and production of the project was split between Lo-Fi, Skhyehutch, Tobari, GameBrand, The Glitch Mob, Noose, Mister Temptation, The Watcherz and Jay IDK himself. Stream the project in it’s entirety below and if you love hit the link to head to iTunes to purchase the project.
