Drake’s resume just keeps getting longer and longer.
Drake is a known advocate for good Canadian eats. Which makes sense that the 6 God will open up a restaurant in his hometown, Toronto.
Frings is the name of the restaurant (for unknown reasons). It’s a co-venture with Susur Lee, his sons, and OVO Gelo. This collaboration doesn’t come as much of a surprise because Drake chose to spend his last birthday at Bent (one of Lee’s restaurant) alongside Lee and his mother. However, the opening date of the restaurant was still a surprise because it didn’t get too much promotion besides a few speculated Vine videos.
But he did show off Fring’s opening on Instagram, taking pictures with his mom and a group picture with the other restaurant owners:
Drake reportedly arrived at 8PM sharp, downing shots and he served his attendees, Jaden Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Serena Williams, fries and sliders. Will this be apart of the official menu Lee was asked and he said they “haven’t really figured it out yet. We’re still testing and tasting, you know. Good things take time”.
