Designer Daizy Shely presented her Spring 2016 Collection at Milan Fashion Week.

Giorgio Armani hosted the Daizy Shely fashion show at his Armani/Teatro space during Milan Fashion Week, continuing the house’s initiative to support young creative talents, now in its tenth season. Born in Israel in 1985, Daizy Shely moved to Milan in 2009 and created her eponymous line in 2011. Sometimes dark and mysterious, sometimes romantic and imaginative, Daizy’s strong, multi-faceted personality is reflected in the mood of her collections, as well as in the choice of fabrics and colours. In 2014, she won the Who is on the
next design competition sponsored by Vogue Italia.

Director of Makeup Artistry from MAC Cosmetics Romero Jennings said, “It was great meeting Daizy because I’ve just always admired her clothing. I think there is a movement and a young feeling that happens with it, and also technology when you look at the fabric … Part of the inspiration this season was like an aerial view of beach scenes, and of flowers. I think that is interesting because it is all in the details. With that I looked at the bright colors that she has, big bold patterns and [I] thought we need to do something that is going to stand out but still be neutral. These girls are almost between Malibu and the desert so the makeup is quite dry but still almost like a dusty summer feeling with a little bit of gloss just on the lids for highlight but keeping it really simple.”

Jennings spoke about the beauty look. “I’m using the new Liquid Matte Lipsticks from MAC and they are amazing. They look great on any skin tone and we are just doing it very sheer on the lip. Then we are balancing that with a really high gloss shine on the eyelids. We are brightening the eye with a Nude Color Pencil in the water line. It is great because it wraps the eye in this really pretty dusty orange shadow that we are going to gloss up at the very end for the stage. By putting this new liner in the waterline it really makes the eye look bright and large. Plus MAC has nude pencils for any shade.”
