After seeing a plethora of color-ways release last year for the 23rd anniversary of the shoe silhouette, the Air Jordan 6 is set to return this holiday in one of its original formats. The “Maroon” iteration of the Air Jordan VI Retro will drop at select Nike retailers December 5th. Initially available to cop in 1991, the “New Maroon” 6 shared retailer shelf space with the timeless and iconic white and black/infrared versions of the AJVI. Additionally, buyers interested in lacing up in the revolutionary new 1991 Jordan shoe model could select the white/sport blue adaptation, which last year was given the retro treatment.

The upcoming winter Jordan release will be the very first retro rendition of the maroon hued footwear option, so expect fanfare and relatively quick unavailability. Retail price is set at $220. Fans have been clamoring for the Air Jordan design process to return to its roots and with a slight increase in quality and the inclusion of a “Nike Air” heel inscription it seems as if Jordan brand may be answering its fan’s pleas.
