As weird as that headline may sound, you read that right. Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob recently spoke with Haute Living and revealed that him and his fiancé had some personal time with the Larry O’Brien Trophy the night that the Warriors won the chip back in June. He didn’t go into detail but he did imply that certain sexual acts were performed that included the trophy.
“I had made a promise to myself [that] I would sleep with the trophy that night,” reveals Lacob, which rhymes with Jacob. “Nicole [Curran, his longtime fiancee] and I did sleep with it.”
On one hand, we want to ask more questions; on the other, we don’t really want to know any more than he’s already shared. (Not that this animated hoops nut is going to tell us anyway.)
“I’ll leave it to the imagination,’ he says, grinning. ‘We had a lot of fun with it.’
With the size of the trophy, it is difficult to image what exactly could have been done with the trophy but we won’t try to find out.
